Cast of Characters

Fierce Falcon

Fierce Falcon Midjourney Headshot

Twelve minutes younger than her brother, Bold Eagle, Little Sparrow also successfully completed her Vision Quest and was renamed Fierce Falcon by her falcon animal spirit.

As tall as her brother and also slim, well-muscled, and equally hardened to her outdoor life in Lenapehokin’s dense woodland, many streams, and rivers, she trained privately with her brother to become an accomplished Lenape warrior.

A natural beauty, intelligent, fearless, and a born leader, she was outgoing, a skilled communicator, and fully prepared to excel in her new responsibilities as she also reached her never to age beyond 18th birthday.

Bold Eagle

Bold Eagle Midjourney Headshot

In the spring of the year 1615, 12-year-old Little Bear successfully completed his four day and night Vision Quest without food or daytime water and was renamed Bold Eagle by his eagle animal spirit.

Tall for his age, slim, well-muscled, and hardened to his outdoor life in the dense woodlands and rivers of his Lenapehokin homeland, he had trained from his youth to become an accomplished Lenape warrior when called to defend his friends and homeland.

Handsome, intelligent, fearless, and a natural leader, he honed his skills with great intensity. He was assured, determined, and fully prepared as he reached his never to age beyond his 18th birthday.

The Great Mother Tree

Angel Oak

A great turtle rose from the sea until his back was well above the formerly endless waters, and the first land was created upon which the first tree grew.

In time, the tree bent down until it touched the land where a root grew becoming the first man. The tree bent down again touching the land where another root grew becoming the first woman. From these two, all people came to be.

A seed within a hard shell fell from the tree and was carried by creeks, streams, and great rivers to the future Lenapehoking, where it took root and grew tall as the all-knowing, all-powerful Great Mother Tree who communicates telepathically.

Chief Fearless Wolf

Lenape villagers remain fearful of the Little People and their Chief. They are rarely seen by the villagers and in most instances it is a false sighting because they often cloak themselves in invisibility.

Chief Fearless Wolf is a perfectly proportioned little man standing four feet six inches tall. The Little People are four feet or less tall and are dwarfs.

The Great Mother Tree created the Little People and their chief as the villagers first line of defense. The villagers have no idea that they are their protectors. Sometimes the villagers hear signs of battle that remain unseen.

Weletheket

Weletheket

In the small village near a great river where Bold Eagle and Fierce Falcon were born and live, 22-year-old Weletheket is the village Medicine Man who is known for his herbal medicine and ritual healing skills.

In many ways, Weletheket is equal in authority to the Lenape Village Sachem or Chief. As Medicine Man, his position has life-long permanence, whereas the Chief may be dismissed by the women elders if his performance does not please them.

Weletheket counsels and trains the village children for their Vision Quests and remains particularly close to Bold Eagle and Fierce Falcon when they are chosen as the Forever Ones.

The Little People

The Great Mother Tree is second in magical powers only to the Creation Tree, and has significant but not infallible knowledge of the future.

Being firmly rooted in place, and thus immobile, the Great Mother Tree created 120 Little People and gave them a chief she named Chief Fearless Wolf. She gave the Little People significant magical powers, including invisibility, teleportation, and the ability to generate powerful bolts of destructive energy.

The Great Mother Tree gave the same powers to Chief Fearless Wolf. She also gave him additional powerful magic to read and alter opponents thoughts and their plans..
